DESCRIPTION:SEASON KICK-OFF LUNCHEON PROGRAM\n\nWednesday\, September 30\, 2015\n\nAt The Garden City Hotel\n\nKEYNOTE SPEAKERS\n\n \n\n\n	\n		\n			\n\n			Kate Murray\n\n			Republican Nominee\n\n			 \n			 \n			\n\n			Madeline Singas\n\n			Democratic Nominee\n\n			 \n		\n		\n			\n			\n\n			    Prior to managing America's largest township\, Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray  served in the New York State Assembly\, overseeing the state's criminal legislation as a member of the Codes Committee.  Indeed\, Kate Murray supported Megan's Law and the Assault Weapons Ban. Further\, she gained a solid knowledge of our criminal justice system as an Assistant New York Attorney General. And\, Ms. Murray was an advocate for domestic violence victims.\n\n			\n\n			    Kate Murray realizes the importance of having a District Attorney who can work collaboratively with the police to bring about thorough investigations and the competent prosecution of criminals.  Indeed\, Ms. Murray has earned the endorsement of all three Nassau countywide police unions\, the PBA\, DAI and SOA\, as well as several other law enforcement unions.\n			\n			 \n			\n			\n\n			    Madeline Singas is a career Prosecutor who brings a commitment to justice\, compassion\, and integrity to her job as Acting District Attorney of Nassau County.\n\n			\n\n			    For the last two decades\, Madeline Singas has prosecuted violent criminals\, including those who target the most vulnerable members of our society\, women\, children\, and the elderly. Appointed chief of the newly-created Special Victims Bureau in 2006 by Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice\, Singas instituted changes that held more offenders accountable and kept more vulnerable people safe.\n\n			\n\n			    As Nassau County's Chief Assistant District Attorney since 2011\, Singas supervised the prosecution of approximately 30\,000 criminal cases each year\, and helped design and implement numerous groundbreaking programs in cases involving adolescent offenders\, veterans\, and those who suffer from mental illness or drug abuse.\n			\n		\n	\n\n\n\n\nThe Luncheon Program on September 30\, will feature the Democratic and Republican Nominees for Nassau County District Attorney\n\nThey will speak separately\, expressing their view on the future of Nassau County and its impact upon the business community.\n\nThe Election for Nassau County District Attorney will take place on November 3\, 2015
